The world is in the midst of dire straits due to the global spread of the pandemic. Even so, we aspire to seek that bright ray of hope that shines beyond. I believe that cinema is an art form that reflects all of us as we weather these struggles, and one that also gives us courage to overcome such challenges so that we can march forward towards the future.
The Tokyo International Film Festival has overcome multiple obstacles to hold its 34th edition this year. We will continue to exert our utmost efforts so that we can contribute to the fight against COVID-19 through the medium of cinema.
We look forward for your continued support.
